Dear McCrabby,
I need help. Haven't worked for two years, running out of the three M's... morale, motivation, money. I'm doing all you detailed in your workshop, and I've had interviews, I've gotten close, finished second a couple times, but no offers yet.
Any other ideas?

Dear MmM:
First, you are not alone. That may not help, but it is true. The economy is turning slowly (and slowly, seems to be the operative word there), but it has improved some.

So, we all adjust our targets, go after what we can with the most gusto (and motivation) we can, and make a success of what's achievable. Be the best you can be.
Will McCrabby continue to keep his eyes open for the perfect, high-income, unbelievable-benefits position? Absolutely, but now, with a new company formed, and with two people joining the company to work in partnership, and with new business relationships created and new affiliations forged, Curtis Funding Group will be McCrabby's home. In fact, since CFG is so new, an effort is being made to "beef up" the presence on LinkedIn, so if you have an extra 20 seconds, it would be much appreciated if you'd "FOLLOW" Curtis Funding Group on LinkedIn (FOLLOW).
In fact, since two people have "come on board," it's become apparent that this is a good way to go, and a positive reputation in the equipment leasing industry has staked Curtis Funding Group to a great start. The company will probably even add 1-3 more selling partners in the next few months. So, for any readers that can sell, that may have some background in commercial finance or real estate, and that want a lucrative commission plan under contract, give Curtis Funding a call (248.238.7214).
We've even published our commission plan on our BoxNet files at our LinkedIn profile, where it is stored under "Broker Agreement."
And, if anyone else knows of a corporation or municipality that needs equipment financing dollars, please drop a comment here, or email McCrabby. We'll pay a finders fee -- we all help each other..

So, what else can you do? Stay positive, stay involved and surround yourself with support.
In the meantime, feel free to follow McCrabby at this blog, or on Twitter, where these posts will be tweeted, or join one of our two LinkedIn groups
- McCrabby Support - a group to offer positive support to one another, whether it's for job-searching to weight loss, to kicking habits, or whatever
- GET TO WORKshop - a group that shares job-search information, networking events, tips and techniques to aid the job search, and any other topic related to finding work (also very supportive)
