Many of you (probably two or three) actually believed the April Fools Day blog-post (CLICK APRIL FOOLS to view) of McCrabby and Mrs. M winning the lottery. Three fourth cousins have called, a host of charities have sent letters, and a neighbor wants McCrabby to pay off his mortgage.
It's time to come clean and let people know that when you play the mega-lottery, and only match the power ball number, you win three dollars. That was a disappointment.

However, in the research that McCrabby did about lottery winners, and the effects of winning, a few facts were uncovered that were worth noting:
- There are now such things as lottery litigators (we mentioned that Saturday); they are lawyers who specialize in lottery lawsuits (some lawyers fight for what's right; others fight for what has the most money behind it) -- we'd love to hear your thoughts on this one, as it almost has to be another blog-post...
- Lottery winners go bankrupt at a higher percentage than people who have never won
- In fact, CBS News reported last Friday that 70 per cent of lottery winners are "broke" within five years after winning
- The Friday winner in Maryland, bought tickets for her "buying group" of McDonald's employees, but bought an "extra" ticket, which just happened to be the one that won (Really??), so she's not splitting (wait -- do you hear the lottery litigators getting ready??)
- The family of an Australian man, who last year won almost $2 million in a lottery and died the next day, has been fighting over who is entitled to the money since that day
- And obviously, big winners are going to meet unknown relatives, uncounted friends, and a variety of "investment" opportunities after they win -- some even meet the "love of their lives"

Two days after winning $18 million in the lottery, Bubba met the woman of his dreams - imagine the odds... |
So, McCrabby thought he should come clean -- he and Mrs. M didn't win the big jackpot, because matching only the power ball doesn't do much for you.
To match ALL the numbers? Those are really long odds.
McCrabby won't be sharing his winnings with the readers here (although you should still sign up--it doesn't cost anything, and who knows??). Please don't call a lottery litigator.
And, he'll continue working... at least for now.

And remember, if any of you DID win, McCrabby was going to share with you...
Happy Easter
