Do you believe it? 213 MILLION!!! |
Fate has struck - McCrabby and Mrs. M discovered on Saturday that they were big winners in the Mega Millions lottery. There were three winners, with each winning ticket being worth $213 million (before taxes) and McCrabby bought his one ticket last week when he was in Red Bud, IL, on business.
So, there will be no need to travel on business any more, for McCrabby. McCrabby is serving notice to all hiring managers, all HR personnel, all recruiters, to take his resume out of the system. Careerbuilder and Monster.com can do without McCrabby.
With $213 million (it will probably be only about $160 million AFTER taxes, but we'll get by), McCrabby doesn't expect to see many job offers that would improve on that.
Now, for all those loyal readers of this blog, McCrabby feels he should do something. He has considered sending a million dollars to each loyal follower who has signed up with their picture (to left of this post). There were 69 on Saturday and he's been shooting for at least 200 (that would be a lesson for those that didn't sign up). Or, perhaps each McCrabby customer who has done business with McCrabby in the past year (when business has been tough) should get a million dollar kickback.
There are a couple things the McCrabby family has been wanting, and the thought now is that it may be time to get Mrs. M the new crock pot she's been shopping for, and McCrabby has been pricing a remote-starter for his ten-year-old car.
Stay tuned for more news on money decisions, and it might be a good idea to sign in as a regular reader of this blog.
One question: Matching the mega ball number qualifies you for the big jackpot, RIGHT??? You don't have to match ALL the other numbers, do you? Imagine the odds against THAT!
The McCrabbys will be going down to lottery HQ, to cash in their ticket, on Monday.
And, one more thing -- we heard that there are now "lottery litigators," and McCrabby thinks that may spur another article. Because McCrabby won't quit writing, no matter how much money he has, and the term "lottery litigator" just seems to smell wrong.
And, in case ANYONE else might still be looking for work, good luck on your job search.. And, Happy April 1st to all.
