Why in God's name would a firm go through the time, cost, effort, etc. to execute a job search which is a ruse?

So, since it's the weekend, and since McCrabby tries to bring more uplifting thoughts to the weekends, here's a two-minute video to encourage you to not "give up hope." It only takes one good event to wipe out the past two years of negatives. Keep working for that good event.
